Team FatBird PowerFLIGHTTM Marathon Training Program
- A 8-week program comprising of weekday strength/speed workouts and weekend long runs, weekly.
- Workout sessions will focus on building strength and speed for the Half Marathon and 10km distances, with a good mix of park intervals, hills, repeats, coupled with weekend tempo runs in challenging terrain.
- Weekend Long Runs to build up speed endurance will be the core training element with attendance and timings tracked.
- Experienced Runners and Pacers leading and guiding the runs
- The FlightZONESTM Training System, incorporating heart-rate measurements and progressive paced running
- The PowerFLIGHTTM Training System, incorporating track/road intervals, hill repeats and trails/rolling hills
- Two levels of training – beginners and experienced runners
- Regular EDMs and online postings of the weekly training plan and tips on running techniques, form and pace
